CBT-p Informed Workshop for Family Caregivers – FAQ

Q: I have another family member living with me in my home. Can they also participate in the training?
A: In order to protect the privacy and confidentiality of all participants, we are asking that each registration be for one individual. If you would like other family members to participate, they must also register for the training/coaching. If multiple individuals within a home have registered, you are welcome to sit together and participate as a group.

Q: Can I register for just the coaching sessions?
A: The information presented in the coaching sessions are a continuation from the training. As such, you must register for the training in order to register for the coaching. However, if you have previously participated in the CBT-p Informed Workshop for Family Caregivers Training, you can register for just the coaching sessions.

Q: Do I have to have my audio and video on during the sessions?
A: We do encourage you to have your audio and video on during the sessions in order to facilitate your learning experience. However, if this is something you are not comfortable with, it is not mandatory.

Q: When will we receive the sessions materials and Zoom link?
A: The materials and Zoom link will be sent out on the day of the session.

Q: I want to participate in the coaching sessions, however do not feel comfortable exploring my individual situation. Can I still participate?
A: Yes, you can still participate in the coaching sessions if you do not want to share your personal experience. There is no requirement to share your story with the group. The coaching will further deepen your understanding of CBT and its practical application to everyday living. There will be additional information, practical tips and coping strategies, besides learning from real life experiences. If you do not want your situation to be explored in the group, please let us know.
