Talking with Youth about Cannabis

Talking with Youth about Cannabis
(Virtual Presentation)

Interested in learning how to help guide your discussions with youth about cannabis use?

On October 6, join IAM, together with the Young Men's Christian Association – Youth Cannabis Awareness Program (YMCA-YCAP), for "Talking to Youth about Cannabis".

Research suggests that lecturing and use of scare tactics is less effective at preventing youth from using substances and can increase stigma surrounding the subject. This webinar offers suggestions for parents, guardians, teachers and caregivers for engaging in supportive discussions with youth about cannabis use – as well as shares resources available for support. Presenter, Steve Keller from YMCA-YCAP, will provide participants with ideas on how to frame more open and youth-friendly conversations with a focus on positive youth development.

Date: Thursday October 6, 2022
Time: 6:30-8:00pm EST
Cost: FREE
