Join us for two virtual workshops where we explore how caregivers can support their family members who are experiencing delusional thinking. These online, 2-hour interactive sessions will help caregivers gain a deeper understanding into what delusions are, why they are so powerful, and how caregivers can use a CBTp informed approach to help their family member cope more effectively with delusions.

Meet the Facilitator:

Sophie Hwang, MSW, RSW, PhD (Ed.)
Sophie is the director of support and educational services and the cognitive behavioural therapy for psychosis training lead at IAM. She provides support and services to individuals and family members who are impacted by a broad range of psychotic illnesses, including schizophrenia. She also developed and delivers IAM's Recovery in Action CBT group for individuals living with psychosis. She received her CBT training from the University of Toronto and the Beck Institute. A registered social worker, Sophie has an MSW from York University and an MEd in Counselling Psychology and a PhD in Education from the University of Toronto.
